Refer to notes on 'Bonding and structure' pp. 8-9
Lattice enthalpy is a measure of the strength of ionic bond.
Lattice enthalpy is directly proportional to the charges on ions and inversely proportional to the interionic distance(larger ion means greater interionic distance)
